South Africa 2014 Range Rover Autobiography SDV8 Luxor

The day before I left for Mozambique, I packed the car, parked in the garage, and when I tried to set off in the morning the battery was so flat it only just managed to open the driver's door!

I charged her up enough to start, took her to local dealer, where they pronounced the battery to be in good health!

I have had to be jump-started 3 times in the past 2 weeks Sad on the beach...

The cooling system fan just comes on in the middle of the night for no reason, and sometimes when parking and locking the car, the fan comes on and stays on until the battery is flat !

Sticky relay? Censored temperature sensor?

I had a battery drain problem and found out it was the head lamp wiper relay , I pulled the fuse and have not had the problem since , I noticed it first by the wipers , they were not parking properly ( touching the bumper) I adjusted it then it was touching the bumper again . Not changed the relay yet as it is in behind the dashboard . 2004 Range Rover Vogue TD6

If you put the fuse back in they should park propperly, there is no manual adjustment you can do with them, they have to sense that they are "home"

Well stealer says they did a software update during the last visit, and a month down the line the discharge hasn't happened again. Touch wood it's fixed.

Wish they could get the front suspension squeak and the rear door clunk sorted now Evil or Very Mad

getin same fan issues but the red light goes out n fan on st

you said you can hear a fan like noise coming from the centre console this could be that the final stage fan is not being told to go to sleep and or waking up intermitantly and draing your battery. the easey way to check is to
switch off remove keys from ignition

lock the car (with you in it)

there is an red led on the centre console near the terain / low gear switches after a s mins that should go out and the fan will stop

if they dont then the car is not going to sleep

the biggest tell tale is the fan will never stop

you need to be patient and stay for around 30 min tosee if the the car wakes up and the fan comes back on

mine took about 15 min to turn on a gain (i looked a little daft sitting still with no engine on or music Rolling with laughter )

if it it does come back on theHVAC is not performing and needs replacing

have fun dont forget the interior alarm sensor

regards
andy
