Having just looked at mine, I doubt it. If the fan shroud could be removed then it looks possible. |

The fan shroud is removed with the fan which requires a/c pipes to be disconnected so not a roadside task. The only hope is that you can get a socket in without removing anything. If the belt has stayed on its other pulleys, which is highly unlikely, then you may have a chance. |

I intend seeing if it is possible to change the belt without removing the fan and shroud but don't know when that might happen. The first hurdle would be to remove and refit the stretchy fan belt! |

longmhan, John w did his AC compressor recently and had to take serpentine belt off using 1/2" drive on the tension pulley. get in touch with him.

Just had a quick look at one here, If you have a breaker bar (wheel nut bar) with a stubby extension, then you can put the belt on the tensioner without removing the shrouds... Makes life easier if you remove the main air intake pipe...

I did a thread on this ages ago, all TDV8 4.4 owners should keep an eye on the this tensioner as it wears out...
