Just a quick post - collected tonight and drove the 50 odd miles home and I can not begin to explain how nice it is to have her back!! It’s so hard to believe that the Disco 5 and the Fatty are closely related - the Fatty is immeasurably better in so many ways. Okay, virtually every single way.

So far so good and there’s a near 500 mile baptism of fire tomorrow, with a trip from Cornwall to Uxbridge and (hopefully!) back again

It’s been a tough 6 weeks, but it’s so good to be back Thanks for all of the supportive messages chaps!

488 faultless miles so far today. If anyone out there thinks that their 405 is anything short of brilliant, might I recommended driving a Disco 5 for a few weeks and then getting back in the Fatty?!

The Sales Manager at the dealer (who has barely put a foot wrong and has often gone beyond in being helpful) phoned up today and asked me to take Mrs RM out for a nice meal and send him the bill, which was a nice touch

I won’t be letting LR or LR Assist off the hook though...

So where are we all meeting for this meal ? We all deserve it after going through this ordeal with you .

We know that the revised part exists now, so anyone getting turbo fault codes has an off the shelf solution (without a 6 week wait), but the service bulletin is a very good point. I'll be back in for service next week, I'll need to ask after that...
