It’s going in on Thursday morning for an EGR temperature sensor replacement, I’m hoping that might have something to do with it. |

Well car went in at 0845 to have EGR sensor replaced, “it’s a pretty simple procedure “ says the guy who booked me in “we’ll call you when it’s ready”, get a call at 1630 think to my self great, only to be told “ your car won’t be ready today, there’s a problem with the sensor, it should be ready by tomorrow late afternoon” I only hope that they don’t expect me to pay any more than the 3.5 hours they quoted me to do the “simple procedure” |

The latest update is that the “problem” with the sensor was that it broke in the manifold when removing it, leading to a lot more work than just taking the old one out and putting the new one in, on the plus side I was offered a courtesy car although I declined as I’m not going to be needing a car this weekend. Ross couldn’t have been more apologetic that I wasn’t properly informed of the problem and assured me that the cost won’t be passed on to me, which is good to know 👍🏼 |
