Sounds like a failed battery. Both low and high voltage points to high resistance at the battery. Check connections are tight and cables in good condition first though. |

The voltage reading was 13.9v when the engine was running, but I didn't think to check it with the engine off. |

So the interesting one there is the over-voltage error.

Didn't have time to do a full test tonight, but will clear everything tomorrow morning and see where the IID Tool leads.

This morning all seemed back to normal with only the battery looking a little low at 11.9v. Went for a test drive and gear change was all smooth, but within a mile after I'd gone over 2000rpm the Battery, DSC, Brake System and ABS lights came back on and the car went back into (what I now recognise as) 'limp home' mode.
