My brother had exactly this - materialised after a main dealer service - the valet bay were spraying neat TFC onto the bodywork prior to steam cleaning - I suspect the TFC was allowed to dry, it was mainly the plastic work where the lacquer came off. The Dealer sorted it. 2021 L405 Vogue SE 4.4 V8 DIESEL ~ #17 |

Almost all the 405's i see have lacquer damage to the bonnet vent! Surprisingly NOT!!! They are made by the same company that produced the "Brunel" parts for the 322......

Interestingly Buzz, it looks like you have the brother to my car... Mine is the only 405 I've seen without peeling from those parts! Mine is currently in the bodyshop having the bonnet vent piano'd...

Had the same with side mirrors first one, after some time the other side. .....2013 AB. It was not covered by warranty, as the said it could have been because of stones/chipping.....

AFAIK the paintwork warranty which might cover this is three years only, after that the warranty is perforation (which I think means rotting from inside out) for another three years, so I'd not expect anything from LR on a 2013 car. Only Range Rovers since 1988 |

I have extended warranty.....but am somehow disappointed that colour is chipping after some years on a premium car... |
