Stood on lower tailgate to clean roof and one has snapped, couldn’t believe how corroded under the rubber covers both sides are so need 2 replacements, best ( cheapest ) place to get some. The Bay has them are they any good?

These were replaced on mine by a previous owner and appear to be stainless. The allen (socket head cap screws) bolts (original?) or torx etc. replaced by hexagonal head bolts. If you have a lower tailgate damper fitted make sure the replacements bolts supplied have one with a nipple on it. If you don't have the damper, they are worth fitting.

Speak to Dan at Duckworth's, site sponsor, for assistance. Not sure about being able to source on ebay.

I've just fitted one on the eBay cables. It has s hex bolt head rather than a Tory head as the original did.

The eBay one has neat rubber caps and once fitted it looks like the original. Think it was £15 ish.

What ever you do, dont get one from Lr Trade Parts... crapiest, poorly made copy I've ever seen. Learn from my stupidity.

Guy's thanks for all info, for ease etc ive gone for a pair off Ebay if they don't look like they're good enough they'll go back.
Interested in the damper mod though, whats the current cost of the bits anyone know??? But ive coped with it without for 2 years without any problems so perhaps not worth it???

If you want a budget perhaps try breakers with a part number, but you may not/won't get a guaranteed damper. Cheers
