Wheel bearing

Hi, can someone give me a ballpark figure for replacing a front wheel bearing. I am not too sure what side its on but it gets louder when I turn right.

I'd imagine about £80-£120

You sure it's the bearing? Get both front wheels of the ground at the same time and spin each wheel listening for anything untoward like rubbing/scraping Grab each wheel with your hands at 12 o'clock and 6 o'clock and rock it and repeat with hands at 9 o'clock and 3 o'clock. If you have movement then it's the bearing.

Video here showing what i mean. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YvKWGjmPKoc

I wouldn't know really. Do most stuff myself.

You could have a stab at the cost yourself for the benefit of the OP Thumbs Up

thanks for the replies... it made me smile!
I normally do this sort of stuff myself, but I am in UK and my garage and tools are at my Bulgarian house.
I have been doing mechanical stuff for 35+ years and I am sure its the wheel bearing. I only have the spare wheel jack here and am reluctant to use it for anything except an emergency.

My MOT is coming up at the end of next month ,so I am putting together a list of all things that will need doing, new windscreen, wheel bearing, tyres ,brake pads ,this is as far as I have got.

Kind of hoping I can get it done for around the £200 mark..am I dreaming??

Just picked the wifes Mini up from the garage after MOT. I asked the guy and he said they've done a couple in the past. 90 minute job start to finish he reckons. £100 plus parts. So i guess i was on the money.

£200 all in should be more than achievable.
