Sat nav options

Appreciate trying to update sat nav on a 2012 range rover system seems more complicated than brexit so options
Anyone fitted or attached a tomtom or similar anywhere that doesn’t look naff and wires in without having to unplug it every time with ignition off. Hate anything on a windscreen and an invite to burglars.
Any photos would be appreciated
Given RR option only goes to 2014 and costs £200 would rather buy a stand alone that can get better value from

Car vent phone holder in the air vent to left of driver - clamping in a Garmin GPS. My car is a long way away back home in Romania - but Stan posted a pic sometime ago. Series 2a LWB Hardtop - ex British Aerospace that was then used in an armed robbery! not by me!
2 door V8 1979 Range Rover
A slight Subaru blip..
110 County 200tdi
R reg 300 tdi Discovery Aviemore - gone to a local enthusiast to be resurrected in Transylvania
2003 TD5 Discovery2 - now sold
and the 2 wheeled Range Rover - BMW R 1150GSA

and finally the big lady of my dreams... 2012 Westminster - gives me a smile every morning

I've started thinking about this for the L405 because even with more recent maps, Waze is still so much better.......

i've just come back from my 'european grand tour' and my aditional chinese nav with igo installed was brilliant....
the clearer mapping ,up to date maps and the nav's lane indication helped navigation in the cities .

Really useful thanks
Stan, does the Chinese one warn you about French speed cameras out of interest and do you have a link for what you got
Sounds ideal
Finally any suggestions on wiring

from experience i have the 'xgody' to be the most reliable make..i've tried the 4.3inch, 5inch and now the 7inch versions ...although the 7inch is large ,where i have it mounted it doesnt foul any thing important.. .i got mine from ebay...

and yes french speed cameras are included..

mine is plugged into the rear console sockets and the wiring is tucked under the trim...

They seem to update model numbers very quickly.
I bought one soon after Stan’s “too small” thread, but mine is a 704 model?

Feels nuts having to buy a second system, what next, second steering wheel
Thank you Land Rover for customer care
That said just bought one £40 and looking forward to not giving the French 90 Euro every time I go skiing so will pay for itself

just to mention that these 'igo' based navs are very customisable with different skins available which give extra functions and screen additions.....
