I was going to suggest alternator as you seem to have eliminated most other possibilities. |

I've had parasitic draws in the past on my 04 and nothing really ever showed up on any tests.

Is there then not another cable looping from the starter to the alternator? |

I just found out there is a hiden fuse box inside the Ebox in the engine compartment which I did not see, so will pull those fuses also.

To test for current a from jump stud to alt, I place the amp meter between the lead and the stud,, I assume i need to reconnect the negative cable back onto the batter first? I don't want to damage my multmeter . |

You really need a clamp meter to check for parasitic drains. Disconnecting cables and putting a multimeter inline will often 'wake' the car up again.

Update, I found a shorted couple of wires in the spare well, they were for my reverse camera i had installed in the bumper a while ago, the wiring had rubbed through on the body work. The pos wire seems to be live and is shorting to earth. this may be my problem. . |
