Well started the maintance (photos ) completed

Well my RR new to me came with a full history but my experience with land rovers is don't believe anything unless you see it done or do it yourself
So today's plan was
1, engine oil and filter
2, diff oils
3, transfer box oil

Used ramps and raised the suspension for better access

Started with the engine oil and filter , no real problems it's a bit messy but what oil change isn't
Now all done the oil light goes out almost immediately on start up - happy there
Next because it's right next to the sump the front diff , once again no real problem it's a bit tight getting onto the drain plug but a short extension cures that ,then rain stops play so tomorrow it's the transfer box and rear diff , I will be lifting the rear end for that with ramps again for better access
So here's what came out of the front diff

It was dark but the magnet only had sludge on so I think that oils been there a while especially when you see the colour it is when new ( hard to see but at the bottom of the bottle ) looks black in the photo but it was dark brown

So I am expecting the transfer and rear diff to be the same
Gearbox was done with new oil and filter but I am tempted to redo that as well , will add more as and when it's done
Thumbs Up
Cheers henda

Better day today so transfer box oil and rear diff done
Transfer box isn't a hard job , clean all around the the drain and fill plugs
Release the fill plug first drop the oil let it drain refit plug with a new copper washer refill with about 1.5 ltrs of special fluid allow over fill to drain refit plug and new washer
Here's what came out

Not a pretty site
Now the rear diff a bit rusty so wire brush ans wd to clean , then as before fill plug first drop the oil and refill well pleased now all the oils have been done
Here's what came out of the diff

Don't know why there upside down these photos but as you can see there's some dirty oil but the magnets only had sludge so that's them done for awhile now
Done all the work on the drive using ramps and suspension to get better access
Cheers henda Thumbs Up

Mine has been faultless so far, the only thing I miss from the Disco is the remote FBH or I will when the weather gets colder, I've enabled timed climate on it but it comes up with an error and it's not really cold enough to test if it will still work with the error in place. Apart from that I love it and so glad I made the move from the D4 Thumbs Up Cheers Ian
