To avoid the for-sale / wanted threads from getting hijacked, it is possible to lock the thread so only the thread originator can modify or add to it? If anyone else wants more info they can use PM.

The problem with this is that they will quickly fall down the list... |

I agree that for sale should just be for sale comments questions about the car. Make it a site rule. |

Why's that a problem, if the for sale section only contained adverts and not opinions, then people will be happy to scan through a couple of pages to see whats for sale. Thankfully neither ebay, Auto Trader or Piston Heads allow people to post opinions on adverts. Gone - Range Rover Supercharged 2006 |

Maybe we should just not allow selling of cars on the forum, unless your a paid up trader. Everyone seems to get their knickers in a right twist about it.

Because in reality people cant be arsed to look two posts down to see that their question has already been answered. To ask them to look on page two is asking too much! |

no way, i like to be nosey... I'm divided. As a selling i would feel - butt your nose out unless you want to buy it. As a buyer - thanks for informing me its overpriced. So i guess leave it as it is.... 2004 black Vogue TD6 |
