I am looking to buy one for my holiday trip .
I assume it is the £40/45 unit on EBay?

Following Stan’s upgrade to 7”,
I went for a central position, where it doesn’t block the windscreen.

i was going to mount mine there ,even made a removable bracket for it but the wife didnt like it...

Very simple bracket.

thats very clever Mike..does it 'wobble' at all and i gather theres no obstructions when you slide it in.....

mine was a bit more complicated as i used the top vent and clipped the mount on top and bottom of it.. ... - .- -.

I have only done one trip , but no wobble. Because the back of the Nav unit pushes up against the dash top to keep it steady.
Push a credit card in the gap and you will see it goes in with no obstructions.

Pity I didn’t have any black tape, otherwise I would probably leave it in situ for the complete holiday, just removing the Nav unit when I park up.

i can see the screen very well where i have mine at the moment but its hard to see from the passenger seat which could be a blessing in disguise ...
i might re-position it to where you have yours and see if the wife can cope with it there... ... - .- -.

here's a thought mike, if you turn your bracket upside down and turn the sat nav holder 180 degrees , the nav will be in front of the FF's [useless sat nav] screen .. ... - .- -.

That was Mk 1 Stan, , but I opted for keeping the screen in view.
Probably will finish up with Mk 5
