I use a diesel additive almost every tank.

My current fav is Chemtech diesel power, but also use/like (on recommendation) Redline RL2 and ProMa DT5 Plus.

It maybe all placebo effect. ______________________________

I’ve read opinions that some additives are 2T based. So some Castrol Active may give me the same placebo effect for less money. 😄

Here’s an interesting article by a diesel repairer.
https://www.baileysdiesel.com/on-highway/t...l-engines/

It says 2T is good for Denso Injectors. Anyone know what type of injector is fitted to a 3.6 tdv8? ______________________________

Henda, make sure to report,

rar110, (https://www.baileysdiesel.com/on-highway/truth-adding-two-stroke-oil-diesel-modern-common-rail-engines/) that is
exactly how it was when I added it for the first time. Thumbs Up

I did see the comment about DPF fitted vehicles. Lucky Oz delivered 3.6s didn’t have a DPF. ______________________________

Greg, I do, but I drive my like it is Eskort GTI (remember those). 99% of the time I drive the car, it will reach full working temperature and once a week I do 1-2 hour stedy motorway trip. I believe your problem with DPF is directly related to the way you use the car. I never once had DPF warning (knock on wood) and in 3 years I did 120K km and have used 2T all the time- every second -third tank full,

I'am not saying to you -use it or not, this is my experience , but it is empirical. Very Happy Thumbs Up

Thumbs Up Great - hey it works what you are doing.

Me - I have a few contributing issues to my DPF filling up;
1. Weekly driving/journey is very short,
2. I have not had the turbo drain done which is pumping oil into the DPF
3. The P040D-00(2F) error

. Cheers, Greg
