Parking module replacement possibilities

Can anyone confirm whether a parking module from another Landrover would replace my broken one or does it have to be the exact same numbers. After a diagnostic this morning confirming it was the culprit and proving it by taking one from a freelander as a test it would appear so. Any recommendations on reasonably priced parts as the dealer wanted £130 to order from JLR today.

Just to close this off.

By chance an exact match came up on a popular auction site last weekend so I took a gamble.
Plugged in and straight away all was good. No dealer reset required.

£50 from a vehicle breakers, described as fully tested and they were true to their word.

Interestingly...

The replacement came from an RRS of similar age where normally the last two letters in the sequence would be slightly different

Mine - Ah42 15k866 BG (Checked with JLR if its the correct model that was fitted and they said yes)
RRS normally Ah42 15k866 BE but my new BG designation was taken from an RRS so they must be interchangeable.
Auction sites average price £50

The garage that did my diagnostic took one from a Freelander of similar age 6992 15k866 AH
Auction sites average £20 - £30

Discovery models described as also suitable for RRS are CH22 15k866 BA
Auction sites average £50-£60

The centre number 15k866 is the same throughout and based on my experience shows they all appear to be interchangeable.
When you are looking down the barrel of a JLR £194 plus VAT quote and see that a £30 freelander version will work it certainly makes you think..

Just curious, johnb8538, but what symptoms were you experiencing as a result of this faulty parking aid module?

EDIT: Ah, I just stumbled upon your other threads which had more details about this issue you were having!

Just no note that the Freelander variant is cheap because it only supports rear sensors. The pins for the front are not there.

I never found used ones to work even with the right part number. AFAIK they get locked to the car when first installed. New one(s) fixed it - on my 3rd now due to water ingress down the wires corroding the board. 2012 TDV8 Vogue (L322)
