It will be fine, the Farmers Tow Bar is simple agricultural engineering with nothing to go wrong - it's held in place with a simple pin and an R clip in a massive 2" x 2" receiver.

The bit arrived today. Or, it would have done, if Customs and Excise hadn't decided to help themselves to £5.92 and Royal Mail hadn't decided to help themselves to a further £8.00 for the joy of me having to pay them the £5.92

Yes, it absolutely fixes receiver hitch rattle and it’s a doddle to put on, although it has to be fitted in a slightly different way to the recommended one to fit! I’ll take a photo later...

Having said that, the tow bar stays in place permanently and the lock nut on the clamp has needed tightening just the once. It didn’t half rattle when it was loose!

In order to fit, the horizontal bar had to be fitted upside down! But, it works perfectly

On your tow plate that's slots into the receiver, is there different height holes to allow adjusting height of tow bar?

I found that the pin with R clip and tightening the side bolt stopped any movement and rattling. It was a bit scary when I hadn't tightened the second nut on the bolt properly and heard a series of clunks from the towbar.

I can't believe that LR couldn't come up with a more elegant solution though. 17 MY Corris Grey 4.4 VAB
