When I put one in my TD6, I got text messages up.....but at some point I can’t remember when they stopped working. It was either when I upgraded an old Sony phone to an iPhone 5, or when Apple did an OS update....

Perhaps it’s phone related then it’s the only function that doesn’t work. |

Or maybe the later Bluetooth standard on newer phones. Rather than model specific, if you see what I mean. 2011 Range Rover Vogue SE 4.4 TDV8

Well, I can't find any way to send an SMS. I can't test for receiving until my wife comes home and I can borrow her iPhone. Ron B. VK2OTC

There are half a dozen pre-existing texts that were in the ULF when I received it from Lukie of this forum (they are jokes, not personal).

I have tried navcoder with out success but let me know if you have any luck and what you did. It’s annoying because I use my car for work so spend a lot of time in it and it would be very helpful as my clients often text me. Everything else works flawlessly I spoke to Apple yesterday and they say that perhaps it’s the fact that Bluetooth on the phone has progressed and the car can no longer communicate with it fully. However it’s bluetooth and all the other functions work seamlessly it is strange that this doesn’t.

Don’t think Navcoder will help. It’s what I put as the 4th post on this thread.

I'm getting a new SIM next week, I can fit it into an old Samsung flip phone to see if it works before I pop out the micro SIM section for the iPhone.
