I'm looking for a garage that can understand the Romano system on my 2003 4.4.
I live near Bury St Edmunds in Suffolk so Norfolk, Essex and Cambridge as easy to get to.
Recently when running on LPG and when the tank is still over half full, the switch over switch will BEEP as if the LPG has run out and the car will automatically switch over to petrol.
Switching it back to LPG would normally work OK and there'd be no further problems during the journey running on LPG.
For the last 3 journeys however, once the switch BEEPS, the engine all but dies and then switches to petrol and runs fine. If I try and switch back to LPG, the engine just dies and I have to switch back to petrol and complete the journey on petrol.
Any ideas or recommendations of garages gratefully received.

Hi David,

I’ve run LPG for 15 years on Prins and BRC systems but not the Romano system. However, all are very similar and it sounds like you have a fuel pressure sensor issue. If you can obtain a computer program to retune the system, or at least access the data, you may find that the pressure sensor reading is flatlining which indicates a duff sensor.

Thanks tb10, I've booked my RR into an installer in Sudbury which is 20 miles away. They have the software for Romano installations.
I'll see how we get on
