Gearbox temp iid tool

My iid tool doesn't appear to be able to read gearbox temp in the live value menu , unless I'm missing a hidden menu shouldn't this be one thing that would be there?
Its a non bt version 2007
If it cant read the temp anyone know what android app would enable this using an elm obd2 plug in?
Cheer s

According to the GAP site for your vehicle - Range Rover 2007 - Live Values TCM Transmission

Transmission Temperature is towards the end of the list. I have it on my non BT iiDtool for an '02 so you must have ? .

Cheers Joe
I have double checked and even reflashed the tool and no tcm is in the live values menu
I had the gearbox oil changed a couple of weeks ago
and suspect something may have happened then
I'm going to have to email gap I think

Excellent response from Patrick at GAP has sorted the issue and all ecus are showing in the live values menu

The after sales service is second to none Very Happy

I don't know tbh Joe , but Patrick assisted with a guide where the tool scans for all ecus and when I went back to live values the tcm was there , unfortunately its lost from the menu again , suspect a comms error either on the car or in the iid tool

I still have an issue reading the tcm live values

after lots of assistance from Pat at GAP we came to the conclusion the iid tool I was using was at fault

soooo I wanted an excuse anyway to upgrade to the BT tool and did so , the tool arrived today and I eagerly set it up and fully expected to see the tcm in the live values BUT

NOOO still missing from the live value menu , now awaiting a reply for some assistance from GAP

the thing is the car is driving great with no errors from the gearbox at all (so things could be a lot worse) , just hacked off I cant see the tcm info at all using the iid tool and hope this isn't the start of canbus errors.

Hoping Pat can give me a plan to 'wake up' the tcm or otherwise fault find the problem

best update this with the fault that was causing non appearance of gearbox tcm in iid tool menus

after much help from pat at gap and much to-ing and froing with logs from the tool the problem was traced back to my lpg set up , once the lpg system was disabled I was able to view the tcm using the iid tool , and its still there after re-enbling the lpg system . Just a glitch on the can bus system due to aftermarket add ons and nothing to be too concerned about , even though it had me thinking that my gearbox control module was on its last legs at one point Rolling Eyes
