There is also an oval badge on it with the name of the company that made it, Land Rover. |

But all of the cars that are sold as Range Rovers have those - even the proper ones. So, they must all be Land Rovers (and not Range Rovers) I suppose |

You do realise that ALL Range Rover vehicles are built by land Rover even the full fat? Unless your badges have been removed and replaced by overfinch or such they all have the oval land rover badge. |

+1 for the Jag XF-S 3.0. I had the Portfolio and it was a fantastic car. Did 40MPG too. Or if you want the high driving position how about an F Pace.

I don’t understand your original point about the Evoque. |

To me the Evoque is a model in its own right as the Discovery and Freelander are and should have been launched as such, by all account its not a bad car the guy that bought my p38 nanocom off me said his wife has one and thinks its great but he would rather drive his p38 range rover. Thats just my opinion, I think it should have been launched as the Land Rover Evoque to keep the Land Rover name alive. |

LR make them, LR can name them whatever they want. I don't see why that would be an issue for anyone. You pays your money etc.

I would also consider a 2015 merc E class estate or even a 2012 S class. |

I test drove a CLS350 shootingbrake, nice dash, hated the seats, poor ride on poor roads and noisy. Oh and did I meantion for an estate it had a useless boot the Jag won me over on everything apart from the dash which is a bit dated. |

Guys/gals. Thanks for all the comments. I have read all the comments with interest. I am now thinking of going for a saloon. My wife has a Rav 4 (don't laugh-so we have a 4x4 in the family). I am thinking of going for a Mercedes C class. There is no real logic to having 2 4x4 and my FF is getting rather old, so probably best to get rid while it is still sellable. having said that, I have been looking at a few Landrover's, so nothing is decided. It is difficult to get rid of a green oval badge. Its a hard decision. No longer FF owner but still interested. Present car Jaguar XE
