According to the BAS site, their EGR delete map should work with a non-functioning EGR but it must be left connected. Might be worth confirming that with them or whichever tuning company you intend to use.

I had mine mapped out when one went faulty, I also mistakenly thought they we’re removed but according to my GAP tool it is still in error (I guess it’s not reported) if I understand correctly it could still have an affect on the engine as the live values change......

You shouldnt need to clean them when they have been mapped out. They will be closed and inactive.

Yeah that was my only concern as usually they are mapped out/blanked off when in working order, but mine are actually faulty. Any recommened dealers in kent for blanking off my egrs and a decent map? I may use AMD tunining but they dont sepcialise in Land Rover.

Also, might be worth mentioning, the fatty shows absolutely no signs of a fault, runs perfectly, no smoke at all, just the EML light is on, and restricted performance light is on however not actually experiencing Restrictive performance. |

Hello, long shot since it’s been so long but did you get them blanked off and mapped and just leave the faulty one in place? I’m having the same issue just now with mines |

Hi mate, lucky for you I am sitting down watching tv and the email notification came through. I can confirm leave existing/faulty EGRs in place and buy blanking plates. Can source these on eBay for less than £100. You will need to get the EGRs mapped out to remove the warnings on the dash. I also used that time to get a performance map which made helluva difference. Something worth considering….. good luck. |

Absolute legend cheers! I’ll stick a smoke tester on it tomorrow and make sure the turbo pipes aren’t split and if they aren’t I’ll get some blanking plates ordered up |
