PHEV and 22" wheels

Hi all

Been thinking about swapping my TDV8 for a new PHEV but disappointed to be told that only 21" wheels are available

Does anyone know why this is and whether you could retro fit 22s?

The dealer said something around 22'' wheels not fitting but surely if the tyre profile is reduced the rolling radius of a 22'' is the same as a 21''

Some mention on this thread suggesting it was a weight issue - presumably the additional weight of the 22's combined with the batteries, pushes the car over some kind of threshold but not entirely clear.......

They'd certainly fit physically - the exterior dimensions are no bigger than the 21's - though slightly wider than the 20's (275 vs 255)

IIRC they are also rated the same load wise as the 21's so potentially you could retro fit them depending on the real reason they aren't an option in the first place

Not exactly related, but 20's were not an option on the TD6 as there was a vibration at standstill - so it could be something weird like that.

So been told that it will take the 22's and it doesn't affect the car, but it won't come from the factory ever like that.

After seeing the goodwood car on Instagram, it looks fine tbh with 21's but I will miss them. all smug in my new plug!
