I have this problem and suspect the clock spring. Have you tried to see if it works okay when stationary?

Mmm? So the problem is entirely due to a faulty button on the wheel you think?

I had this exact same issue a few times aswell. Mine usually reset it self once the ignition was turned off (definitely annoying).

Mmm confusion ,if you hear it say “ Rubbery” it actually means. “ lovely” in English 2008 L322 Vogue 3.6 TDV8 in Java Black with parchment and Navy interior. 125000mls.

Nah mines still silent, unlike the wife! Might try disconnecting the battery n see if that resets anything? Still think the prob is connected to my knackered satnav unit, after all that talks too when working. Torn whether to get it fixed or take a punt on one off eBay.

My thoughts are on the sat Nav unit aswell. The problem with obtaining a second hand unit, is that it's probably going the same way.
