Drop in MPG after DPF reconditioning

My DPF was over full due to failure or sensors so I had it removed, cleaned out and refitted. MPG has dropped from 31 to 27 (4.4 TDV8) - any ideas why? Cheers Roy 2005 L322 Vogue Gold gone

is that computer or proper mpg...it could be that the car's computer is calculating the mpg in correctly now the dpf is gone..

i would fill to the brim , and then check a week later and calculate using the amount of fuel to fill up again against the miles traveled.... ... - .- -.

He did say DPF has been refitted.

But I am wondering how like-for-like trips are being used to calculate the computer's MPG. It's a relatively minor difference 31 to 27 and could simply be down to traffic or temperature (aircon etc) or averages over a greater period of miles travelled.

Always been fairly light on the peddle so driving style is the same. Only difference has been the recent weather, will continue to keep an eye on it 2005 L322 Vogue Gold gone
