Hi everyone

My son-in-law has been running around for the past 18 months or so in a 2005 model year RR Vogue 4.4 V8 that I gave him whilst he was "between vehicles". Unfortunately the head gasket has now gone, so the car is at a standstill, although it still turns over and has not overheated or suffered any obvious damage as a result of the gasket blowing - he stopped the car immediately and has not driven it since. Pressure testing has confirmed head gasket failure on the left cylinder bank. No "mayonnaise" in the oil filler cap but coolant was sprayed all over the engine compartment, so is most likely a coolant to exterior failure (but I'm no expert). Anyway the ups and downs are:

Downs -
1. Head gasket failure
2. Entertainment/bluetooth etc not working due to failure of bluetooth module ( I think). Satnav and other components work when using the code to bypass the normal system
3. It's got a bit tatty with standing
4. Some superficial rust on left rear wheel arch after it was scraped a while ago.
5. No service history but maintained as needed by a trusted local garage

Ups -
1. LPG conversion
2. 2010 facelift professionally fitted, including two new front wings
3. Everything else works as far as I can recall
4. Adriatic blue, ivory leather with contrast piping.
5. I'll throw in the GAP IID tool which is linked to the vehicle.
6. Gearbox fully reconditioned when I bought the car.
7. New battery 3 months ago.
8. All-season tyres in good condition
9. New re-programmed key fob about 3-4 months ago.

I haven't got any recent photos as I haven't seen the car for about 9 months but I am happy to update this post with images as soon as I can get them. I will of course update this advert with any further issues I can find - I do not want anyone to think I am "trying it on". Vehicle is located in South Yorkshire and would need collection.

Anyway, although I'm open to offers, I need to indicate a price so £1000 fo a nice project to work on!
