Looking to purchase my first Range Rover and found what looks to be a clean example 2007 SC. Due to being in Orkney I would like an independent specialist to give the car a good going over.

I am to far away to help but if its the silver one with a reg that starts with RV07 ? then it looks very well presented and prepared . But there is nothing like standing in front of it yourself to asses the condition . I suppose they would do a deal with you that if after flying done to view it it was not as described you could walk away and the only thing wasted would be your flight cost ?

What would a RAC or AA inspection cost , personally I wouldn't bother as any major problem would show up on the test drive and what a return journey you would have !

Wasn’t that one, was a black one eBay with 68k looked very clean it didn’t sell on eBay but he still has it.
It was 12.5k and book price is around 10600 so I’m guessing that’s why it didn’t sell, saying that they all seem to be above book price for clean examples.

There was another one that looks a nice example at auto200.co.uk in silver, very tempting but black does look much nicer.
