folding seats

On my MY18 the rear seats fold ok and the fronts move forward as the rears fold, but the fronts do not return to the driving position once the cycle is complete so I can drive the car!!! Anyone had the same problem, or am I missing something?

Also my remote app does not have the facility to fold the seats is that correct?

Hi mate,
My app doesn't have the facility to fold seats even though the demo mode shows them.
Not sure about seats as I have never folded them down.
Is there not 4 buttons on the rear panel to control the front sets as well as rear.
Steve

Hi Steve

Don't know why the demo says you can fold the seats remotely then! Another instance of JLR making things up!!

My rear seats fold with the four buttons in the back (two for each seat) and all works fine until the end of the cycle where the rears are flat, but the drivers seat is supposed to return to the driving memory. It doesn't for some reason.

Waiting to hear back from the dealer.

Mine are exactly the same, rear seats fold back to normal position but you need to be a hunchback to fit in the front seats. Bizarre Smile

Still waiting for the dealer to call, but I have discovered that when the rears are flat and the drivers seat is in the "Hunchback Position" Whistle you have to press "1" on the memory function on the door to get the seat in the position where you can get in and drive!! Excuse me? This is 2018!!!

Mine is a 17MY but it returns the front seats to their original position. The intelligent/remote seat fold applies only to the Discovery 5. The app is a demo for both the FFRR and D5. Legal disclaimer >>>AFAIK.

Huw

In what way is there a legal disclaimer do you know?

When your front seats come back to the original position (with the back seats flat) do they do it whilst you're still pressing the button in the back?

Thanks Weegie, I'm old and grey so don't understand all these acronyms!!

See you are in SW France. We're heading off down there tomorrow for a three week holiday, where are you based?

Update on folding seats...

My dealer tried their showroom MY18 car and the same problem!! Twisted Evil He says he's going to contact LR.

Seems LR have gone backwards with their spec. It worked in 2017 but not in 2018. You have to manually press a memory button on the drivers door to be able to get into the seat to drive the bloody car!!!You couldn't make it up!!

I think I'll write to the powers that be and point out a few things which they either don't seem to care about or ignore!!

One of the things that really hacks me off, is the fact that on the UK Website configurator all you get is left hand drive cars. This from a British manufacturer! I've just bought a VW Golf for my wife..... a made in Germany car, but on the UK website the configurator is right hand drive as LR's should be!

I'm not sure whether LR know that "it is the little things that count!!"

End of rant.!!

Sorry for the lack of response, I didn't get a notification??
Weegie was right, it was my legal disclaimer not LR's.
I'm doing a tour of France/Italy/Spain at the end of this week for six weeks and ending up in the Dordogne near Bergerac. Lovely place. Lovely people. Lovely food. Lovely wine. Lovely!
