Drivers door not opening

Hi anybody had this problem? Drivers door working normally until it gets hot with the sun then will not open from outside or in .All other doors working properly .Tried key ,lock unlock thumping ,swearing at it .Took card off and can not find anything wrong gave it all a good oil and put it back together. seems to be acting up when it gets realy hot with sun. Otherwise it is fine any ideas ??

At a guess the cable is probably stretched and near to its working limit when cold. It heats up, expands more and then wont do its job.
New cable me thinks 2007 Vogue TDV8 in Zermatt Silver with Charcoal

Is it locking and refusing to unlock ?

My L405 did that and needed a new deadlock unit on the drivers door.

Mine was more random than heat related though......

Ok so new cable was fitted last year and is working no prob when cold or at least when out of the hot sun .All other doors are working properly.drivers door is locking and unlocking as in making all the noises and button rising .Not opening from inside or out .If driven with door not opening for a few miles it opens normally . Opened and closes normally locks unlocks etc until left for a while as in going into shops and back out tried manual unlocking makes no difference.is intermittent in its fault which makes it frustrating.

i dont think its the inner or outter cables, more likely the latch mechanism... ... - .- -.

this kinda thing happens in the winter where the lock freezes and a strip and grease normally solves the problem..might be worth trying this first.. ... - .- -.

Ok so stripped and oiled latch .There is a part of latch attached to adjusting screw accessible from side of door through grommet. this bit moves up when unlocking mine did not fully move up and when helped with finger a click can be heard and lock opens must be a spring inside .A little rivet allows it to swivel so I oiled and worked it back and forward until it felt nice and free back together and all seems well for the moment sun on door today panel red hot and door opened easily fingers crossed Embarassed
