Definitely on Fuse 49, amperage dropped to 0.05 amps when pulled and car asleep.

Does you car have a Connect 2 box about the size of a packet of cigarettes in the wiring harness running below the TV module. It's part of the original car phone system. If so you could try removing it. Undo the two plugs connected to it and plug the plugs together. They are m/f and blue if my memory serves me correctly.

A good shout, but I have already removed it sometime ago and plugged the two connectors together

Try unplugging the aerial to the sat nav only. Leave the Satnav connected. |

I wonder how many Satnav units have been scrapped when all they needed was their teeth cleaned.

I guess it is just corrosion from some previous water ingress, am guessing that this was causing a short of some kind, or quite simply, as often is the case , the very act of dismantling and putting back together resolved the issue .

I’ve just had fuse 49 diagnosed for my battery drain issue. Still to confirm what component is the cause. Fuse 49 removed at the moment. Wish I’d seen this thread earlier! |
