2005 Range Rover Vogue 4.4 V8 Tonga Green
insurance database?

as you know i've just bought a 2005 4.4 vogue

but when i tried to get the insurance from my GC updated, Prudential (now Chuchill) say that their database says based on the reg number the car is an Autobiography

so they have bumped up the premium

i've argued that i will have the original 'bill of sale' but they say whats on their database is IT!!

so i can only assume they do not wish to insure the vehicle any more?

Try Adrian Flux. I pay the same for my 2003 AB as I did for my 2003 vogue.

Not wanting to get of topic here but Dan was the upgrade worth it to an autobiography? What extras did you get over the vogue?

Well the price difference was next to nothing, and I bought from a forum member so knew what I was buying.

The options on top of my vogue that are on my AB are:
Rear seat ent' (in 2002-2004 this was an AB only option)
Supaglass (as above)
Logic7 Surround Sound (in itself not an AB option, but was needed for RSE)
Fuel Burning Heater (not an AB option, but VERY nice to have)

The new one was also my preferred colour, had the facelift conversion, roof rails and had the Aspen interior. I did have to get it LPG'd though....

Contact the dealer/LR customer services with your vin number and ask them to clarify the model formally in writing, they can take that to the underwriter. The database is not 100% correct. Or tell em to poke it and go elsewhere Thumbs Up Ian
