Need to replace my Scorpion Zero M+S on my TDV8.

Whilst doing price checking I came across a brand I'd never heard of, turns out to be Chinese, Sailun Atrezzo ZSR.

They are on offer at National Tyres and a set of 4 will save me about £300! And that includes a tyre gaurantee as well. Some of the feedback actually reads better than for the Scorpions.

My main use is mixed motorway/local but do tow a twin axle tin tent.

I understand how important tyres are but reading the reviews they seem a good tyre, just wondered if anyone here has heard or tried them?

I've never heard of that particular brand, but I have seen some other very budget Chinese tyres degrade very fast in the sun ! At 3 years old the sidewall looked horrendous & I assume would have failed an MOT (fortunately I only wanted the wheels at the time) Paul,

I think you also have to consider wear.

I usually buy branded tyres, not always the premium ones, but a few years back I bought a set of Nexen rather than the usual OEM Michelin's and saved myself about £250 a set. They weren't too bad in terms of noise and roadholding so figured I had a good deal.

However, I did about 30,000 miles a year back then and whereas the previous Michelin's lasted around 43,000, the Nexens barely made it to 20,000.

Nowadays I don't just blindly go with the OEM tyres either, I also make sure I look at real world reviews and forums like this to see how long they will last too.

Subjective user reviews of tyres are utterly pointless I’d say - it’s as unscientific as you could get, and most drivers are categorically not qualified to assess this sort of thing.

I had one on as an emergency replacement when I had a blow out. They didnt have the tyre I wanted so got a cheap tyre to fit as a temporary measure.
It got me out of trouble but I couldnt wait to get it off.
Noisy and poor wet grip. Driving on 4 of them would fill me with fear at the slightest hint of rain. Cheap tyres, IMHO, just arent wprth it. Plenty of good budget tyres around. 2007 Vogue TDV8 in Zermatt Silver with Charcoal

Thanks for your thoughts guys, I felt uneasy about them as well, turns out I only need a pair on the front as the rears are still good so ordered a pair of Scorpions 👍🏻
