Ours had what may have been a similar clunk - usually at very slow speed while changing from left lock to right lock or right to left.
the lower track control bushes / ball joints & steering ball joints all looked OK, but there was a fair amount of movement in the upper control rubber bush.
I think when the arm is loaded up via the steering, the arm contacts the subframe.
I changed the upper arms & the clunk stopped on both sides & as a side benefit the suspension is more refined when going over pot holes / speed bumps. Paul,
