A couple of years ago we drove our friends down to their villa in southern Spain, he had really wanted to do the trip himself in his new Freelander but about 8 months before he had a nasty stroke which left him unable to drive, we crossed at Calais and first night was in Honfluer a beautiful northern coastal town with a lovely town and harbour, then onto La Rochelle via Le Mans the next day we travelled as far San Sebastian just inside Spain ( you have probably got the message we were taking it very easy) while crossing Spain we stayed in Parador Hotels which are converted castles, monasteries and ancient buildings, amazing places but unfortunately no designed for the disabled! Beside this it was well worth the effort he absolutely loved to journey more then his Villa, we had two overnights in Spain as we went across country to see the real Spain and not just Motorways.....it almost converted my wife and I to liking Spain

It was a one off really as we took almost longer on the journey there and back than staying at his Villa.

Two ways to cross France.....fast and frantic, slow and deliberate....it all depends how you want to travel. David

Laser - but as stated, just pay the fine - there’s no points, so it’s only money.

You get a very detailed receipt - TBH I’d rather just hand over the cash and drive away than spend the 20 mins or so filling in the form - but they seem to take pleasure in holding you up for a while

It's only the hand held radar I've really worried about - I try my best with cameras, but not had a ticket make it's way to the UK yet.

The hand held ones, however, have caused me to spend 20 mins by the roadside far too often

Bill Filters are in fact so good that in certain circumstances, when the ambient air is already polluted, a diesel car will tend to extract more particles from the air than it emits. Emissions Analytics worked with........etc etc

It would seem that, when connecting from the UK using the link above ^^^ (I have a VPN which can make believe I am connecting from a UK server), you have a box to tick - which doesn’t show when connecting from a French server - requiring you to confirm you are resident in France.
I dunno what risk there would be (if any) if you were to tell a teeny-weeny fib …
