Australia 2003 Range Rover Vogue Td6 Java Black
Electro static interference

Gday all.

I have a 2003 L322. It was personal import from UK to its first Australian owner in Brisbane, It now lives with me in Hobart. Ive had it for nearly 5 years now and put up with the bong and suspension fault for years. I used to just do the full left to right shuffle and re set the steering angle sensor, annoying I know but it is what it is. Then finally I succumb to the three amigo's. It was time to heed the advice on the forum so I asked our friend Dan from Duckworths to send me a new steering angle sensor. It arrived and after again following advise from the forum I undid the four bolts holding the steering column in place and put on the new steering angle sensor. Did the recalibration left to right and hey presto good bye three amigos.

That was about 6 months ago, BUT the other day the old bong was back and I was joined by the amigos again. This time it didn't matter how many left and rights I did I couldn't clear the lights and reset my suspension. I found though if I pulled over, stopped the engine, let the car go to sleep and start it up again the problem clears itself.

Now here's the interesting thing. Ive noticed that when I drive under high power electrical lines at certain peak power times of the day ie morning and night is when the amigo's join me.

Something else that used to happen was that at exactly the same places driving around the dash info screen goes blank, the radio/CD still plays and then it resets with the Land Rover logo and then back to normal.

Lots of wi fi and all sorts of stuff flying around out there, maybe its whats giving me grief.

My wife also has a L322, its a 2002, and its an Australian spec car. I had a thought as well that maybe because mine was a UK spec car it may be susceptible to our signal ranges here in Australia.

Any ideas, no matter how out there would be gratefully received.

thanks
