Vision assist system..... recording?

This is probably just wishful thinking, but...
It would be nice if there was a way of linking the vision assist system on the L332 up with a DVR or such like, to give continuous dashcam-type recording.
Is this just a pipe dream? Or is there a way of doing it?

Aren't the front cameras a bit too low to be useful for that? 2010 4.4 TDV8 Vogue SE

Actually you’re right, now I’ve just re-checked.
The front cameras are quite low down.
I suppose the camera footage if it could be recorded might be useful evidence of something, but actually it would take a proper high-mounted dashcam to record something useful!
Ok, back to the drawing board, as they say.... -- .. -.- .
