It doesn't matter which engine, be it LR, Jaguar, Ford, BMW, et al, it will unscrew in the same direction that the fan usually rotates. Think about it and you'll see why. Ron B. VK2OTC

I think you'll find the ( bmw ) 4.4 has a left hand thread and unscrews clockwise the opposite direction to the fan .

its a bit like truck wheel nuts, they undo towards the back [opposite the direction of the wheel rotation], on both near side and off side.. ... - .- -.

I need to stop over thinking stuff, whichever way the fan goes does it need to get on and make a tension lever now. Has anyone done them with the cowl in place though.If do able would save a couple of hours me thinks. Range rover 4.2 SC 06MY. |
