I hope they have been keeping the gigantic battery in good condition...

So the PHEV has actually arrived.

Here it is just off the transporter.

I will post some better images once I take delivery. (these are screen shots from a video the dealer sent to me)

You’ve done better than me... just been notified mine’s gone back from May to mid June. Interested to hear you first impressions. I’ve set up a weatherproof 13a socket rather than fast charger for now. Good to get your early experience of charging ev range, mpg, etc.

I quite like the idea of these hybrids and I would consider one for my next car but I do fear that the early takers are going to be seen as guinea pigs unfortunately. If they can't get basic electronics 100% right on the standard cars what chance with this setup. Even the delivery dates are unreliable.

OP, I wish you the best of experiences with your new car and I sincerely hope that I'm wrong.

@fairwx: is it the Corris grey with black roof and satin vents? Really timeless and classy colours! More pictures Smile

Great colour scheme.

I know there’s the charging door behind the grille under ROVER on the grille but it looks like there’s two different finishes behind the mesh. Surely they could have replicated the finish the other side by using a gloss black or something?!

The charging plug assembly sits in front of the radiator on the passenger side so one half of the grill is black plastic and the other open (like conventional models) to allow airflow to the petrol engine. I’m guessing modifying the fuel filler for the electric plug was too expensive as would need a change to the monocoque body - making the fuel flap larger.
