Battery Dying?

I was previously concerned at getting low battery start engine warnings but after advice on here disabled the interior lights by pressing the centre button on the roof light and the problem has gone away when I had been leaving doors open for loading etc.
Last night went to go to work and pressed the start button and just heard a loud click and it didn't start.
Repeated and on 4th attempt it started and the starter turned over brightly.
Drove 5 miles to work and and this morning thought it was not going to start again. 3 clicks then started on 4th attempt.
I am guessing the battery is dying but i' am not getting a low battery warning on the dash now!
Should I just get the battery replaced anyway (Halfords do one fitted for £209) or is it more likely to be the started etc or do I need to replace the battery to just to discount that is the problem?
Unfortunately can't test voltages at the moment as my multitester is at the boat. But it doesn't look like Halfords stock the battery so I'll have to order one for tomorrow before I get chance to get my tester! I'm guessing the alternator is fine as when I've driven home and tried it started straight away, but if its a starter problem I guess it may be disguised with a hot engine?
Might just have to drive out later when I get out of bed. It was my last night shift last night so don't want to stop in bed too long anyway!
Regards
Paul.

As Stan, everything powering up plus click when pressing starter, after several attempts it starts fine, was cured on my 2012 car by fitment of new starter motor. Apparently they are a known weakness on late 322s. Only Range Rovers since 1988

A little confused as mentioned, it is said these starter motors are troublesome on later L322's RR's but some listings I'm seeing are showing same starter for both the 3.6 and 4.4 td v8. Is this the case? Don't want to remove the starter to find I've ordered the wrong one!
Many Thanks in advance
Paul.
