Certainly a keen price. You will notice a huge difference in pull from idle. Go for it and enjoy. |

I got my RRS1 Quantum'd and the wifes SLK whilst he was there, very happy with it but I've also had all my previous diesels done with the mobile chap.

I take it you will have to supply your own EGR deletes for that price? |

I'm guessing they will just stop the EGR valves from functioning.

Yes, the process involves closing the EGR valves and stopping them functioning, if they are closed and not functioning, I understand the risk of break up is greatly reduced. |

Excuse my ignorance but what’s the relevance of them being a ‘Quantum’ dealer? |

Quantum seems to be a well respected tuning company with worldwide dealers. The prices I have been quoted are pretty good too.

Spoke with another company today who proposed carrying out what you suggest above, blanking plates, bypass pipes, Quantum remap etc. Price quoted was £460 inc vat. Other companies stopping the EGR valves functioning/remapping - prices quoted around £250. I assume the £460 option is the best? |

100%, it's the only way you'll eliminate failure. Not a bad price that either |

I've got mine booked in for Quantum remap next week. (informed SWMBO that it was to fix the EGR causing a warning light but have gone for power+economy remap with EGR delete as an add-on)

I had the Quantum middle map on my 3.6 with egr delete, I didn't bother with the blanking plates. Huge difference to drive , much quicker and fantastic throttle response. It was pointed out recently on another thread that the gearbox isn't rated for the torque increase but i didnt have an issue. 2015 4.4 AB
