Over here defenders get sold for about 100k and are completely stripped and rebuilt with new interiors, sometimes new engines and running gear too.

Rock sliders are very nice to have as are sump guards, diff guards etc. It's nice to drive over rocks or roots when you are actually hitting rocks with the underbody and not worry about ripping plastic stuff off.
