Frustrating as it sounds - I think your conclusion is correct - unless you can be more specific, there really isn’t anything that you can do or reasonably expect anyone else to do. |

Agree with you both, you could give the places a polite ring and ask if they happen to have found one lying around...... but I think you maybe clutching at straws. There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

You're absolutely right guys; there's no way I can realistically make an accusation, only something like to ask if it would have been removed at service time.....

I had this last year with Perrys in High Wycombe, put my ranger in for first MOT and service, MOT was done off site. Got it back and on the following day reached for my RayBans from the sunglasses holder and they were gone, sent an email of to manager and after a bit of too'ing and fro'ing they finally paid me £200 quid for a £250 quid of sunnys.

Wrote off an imprezza years back, was collected back to local dealer and when it got to my house about 3 days later , all the STI and TYPE R badges were gone , gearstick cover, steering wheel and wheels !!!! It had others wheels with 2 wheelnuts holding them on.. dealer didnt want to know , so solicitors got involved and all replaced with new and a nice cheque for me. Dealers can be unbelievable. 2015 4.4 AB

Sound advice, Stan; it's a shame it has to come to that. The other choice is to make sure they list all contents at handover.... this has a certain serendipitous ring to it, seeing as I am retired and the process would take quite some time |

We just empty all our vehicles at dealer time - throw everything into a large Tote Bag - I usually find when it comes to putting everything back a load of stuff wasn’t needed and can be junked or relocated 2021 L405 Vogue SE 4.4 V8 DIESEL ~ #17 |

What about a small pot of security paint which leaves a traceable microdots on the item, at least if the item is ever recovered as stolen or suspicion is raised there is a trail.
