Can’t get rear wiper down to change blade

For some reason I cannot get the rear wiper in the down position to change the blade. I have a 2011 range rover SC.
I have tried turning car off when wiper is down & I’ve even tried the start/stop then start/stop, then start/stop while holding the wiper control arm in down position, the front wipers stop mid window but not the rear??? Anyone else had this problem? Can someone help me with the solution? Is there some other method I don’t know about?

Not sure if this is he official way but I did mine by leaving the bottom tailgate open and then letting the top part close to trick the car into thinking it is all closed. Turn on car and start the rear wiper. Go to the back and as the wiper is moving, lift up the rear tailgate and it will stop. Go back and turn off of action whilst tailgate is up. Wiper will then stay down for you to change the blade!

Turn on rear wiper.

Press tailgate release button at the appropriate juncture.

Change wiper blade Very Happy

Repeat until you get it to stop in the right place! Rolling with laughter Bish.
