I’m one of the last to get it done , it seems
Odd that the previous owner received the recall letter (it was amongst the docs/service history) but never got it done.
Guess it was too much hassle to take it to the dealer after the Indy service 4.2 SC - sold , now bought back

I had the recall done very recently....I was warned that I might have to pay up to £500 if the brake pipes were corroded! Shocked Thankfully everything was fine and the recall was done free of charge Thumbs Up

Maybe the ‘threat’ of a charge for corroded brake pipes put the previous owner off......but brakes ARE important!!!

There was no mention of additional costs if the steel pipes were corroded when I booked it in , but I had read that somewhere . So to be safe I cleaned up the joint where the flexi meets the steel pipe and gave it a dose of penetrating oil
Easy to do when in off-road height , 4.2 SC - sold , now bought back

Mine falls in the VIN number range.

What's the best way to check if the recall's been done - or not? What do I put here then?

We only got the Recall notice a few weeks ago & the earliest the local Dealer would fit in was in 2 weeks time.

When mine was done, a couple of years ago, they goosed one of the callipers which was replaced FoC. (Guy Salmon Knutsford) Previous cars:
S-Max 2007-2013 (only diesel I've had, good car but expensive when diesely bits go wrong, so what's the point?)

Thanks, both.

DVLA check MoT site says no recall required.

Nothing in my service book.

And Topix says non outstanding field actions.

But my VIN is in the range listed.

And - really weirdly - looking my VIN up on https://www.vindecoderz.com it shows the recall ...

... with a date of notification of today!

Call to stealer in order methinks. What do I put here then?

Similar thing for me, bleed nipple seized on one of the calipers, waiting for the replacement caliper, then return to have the recall done.

Need a couple of other things done, so booked in to mainstealer

- although have to wait until late May as I need a loan car.

Have asked them to look at the recall too.

Will update once I know more. What do I put here then?

Just checked mine on DVLA (thanks for that) looks like mine is still outstanding, so will give the not so local mob a ring to have it checked before booking in.
