LR Stealership pricing

I've been looking at a number of FFRR's on AutoTrader and Ebay as well as a couple of non LR sellers and have noticed the LR vehicles I've been watching have gone up by about £1500 today. That's not one or two but about seven cars I'd been watching. Now having worked in retail at a reasonably senior position, I can sense a sale is on the horizon. It's poor behaviour really and stinks a bit of poor integrity but this is the world we live in. The price is inflated to make it seem like the discount they give is bigger. There'll be a disclaimer somewhere stating the prices are not necessarily those that vehicles have been sold at in the last 28 days or similar. It's a shame that they don't have faith in their own pricing that they feel they have to drop to such a level to compete for the customers.
For those looking at buying during an upcoming event, remember that £1500 is a given and you start negotiating the deal from there.
Thumbs Up

That seems to be common practice in every area of retail. Bump the price up, have a “sale” on th previously inflated price and make people believe they’re getting a bargain!
You need to be wise to them! Got - 2017 SDV8 Autobiography in Loire Blue

When I worked my boss said his mortgage had come down by £90 I said that's funny so's mine, well it had come down TO £90 that is, I wasn't quite listening. I know this should've been "Off Topic" but wouldn't have been as funny there. Apologies to the OP. Geoff
