Dual switchable reversing cameras

Decided I wanted to see the trailer when hitching up as well being able to still have the standard reversing view normally.

Got one of the cameras listed in another thread that goes into the screw hole of the number plate light. You can't see the tow hitch by about half an inch, but it really helps.

I replaced the normal camera as it had died with a one on an adjustable bracket.

Then added a remote switchable 1channel relay, with the live the switched supply. For the video feed I just spliced the two inputs together.

Nice, funnily enough I have been thinking about doing something like this.

The previous owner replaced the reversing camera on my with one mounted on the boot handle that gives a great view of the tow ball but isn’t so great for normal reversing.

Do you have link to the remote relay?

On my early L322 I had a reverse camera mounted on the tow bar armature which was great - ran the cabling through a grommet that was there for the tow electrics & into the wheel well.

That was a 03 car that didn't have one factory installed.
