Rear Seat Controls Not Working | |
Hey guys,
I picked up a 2010 Autobiography with the heated/cooled and reclining rear seats (Rear Seat Option 3) in November and have yet to figure out why the rear seats aren't functioning. I can turn the dial for the heated/cooled function and the blue/red lights illuminate, but the seats do not heat or cool. The reclining and lumber also do not work on either seat. It seems there is power to the control switches on the rear doors, but it's as if they are 'deactivated'.
Things I've checked:
-The driver's door lockout feature is working correctly and the rear door windows work appropriately using the switches on each door.
-I have checked all fuses with any reference to the rear seats labeled in the owners manual and found none to be blown.
-I have checked the wire harness plugs that connect to the seats and they are plugged in with no signs of being tampered with.
What I have not done so far is pull the panels off the rear doors or pull up the carpet under the rear seats. The reason for this is that I'm almost positive those panels have never been taken off before and I'm skeptical that the wiring harness would completely fail under the carpet.
Is it possible that those functions could have been deactivated by programming or that something needs to be reset to get them working again? I am trying to do my best at diagnosing it before I pay a shop to rip apart my interior. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
