Scotland 2014 Range Rover Vogue SDV6 Santorini Black

The spare wheel lifting tool is a must have extra for any car with 20" wheels or above.

Had a puncture on a 22" tyre today. Struggled to get the 22" spare out of the boot having decided working out how to use the lifting tool would just be a pfaff. I'm able bodied. Anyone could really hurt themself trying lift these very heavy wheels.

Tried the lifting tool when putting the punctured wheel back in the boot recess and wow, what a simple but clever concept. It made things so easy.

Perhaps not the must have type extra the OP was about but the RR wheel lifting tool is not standard kit on all cars so if buying new or used you must have this for practicality and safety.

Must admit to sneering at the lifting tool until I almost injured myself trying to get the wheel out!

The tool itself however is fantastically designed for both its simplicity and effectiveness.

Strongly suggest to anyone to try this at home first just to see how it works. 2016 SDV8 AB

Ditto... impossible (for me) to lift the wheel out.... fortunately attempted just after I bought the car and the dealer threw the lifting tool in, along with the full-size wheel and and and and.... Thumbs Up Filters are in fact so good that in certain circumstances, when the ambient air is already polluted, a diesel car will tend to extract more particles from the air than it emits. I think the lifting kit is standard equipment with a 22" full size spare - maybe even a 21" - for whatever reason the 20" was deemed light enough not to need one.....

Well worth £40 quid Chalky if your car doesn't have one Thumbs Up

Agree Alistair, seems a strange one as the 20" wheels are very heavy also.

I assume it's different to the L322 one? Having just wrestled the spare 20" out of mine to replace it with a 21", I think I need one! 2010 4.4 TDV8 Vogue SE

Resurrecting an old thread if I may? Off to look at a 14 plate AB tomorrow. Could I please just clarify that the opening pano roof is the one with the centre bar across? So in effect it looks like two sun roofs? Hmm, what is the correct plural of sunroofs Embarassed

That and the upgrade stereo are my only real must haves.

Yes, the centre bar indicates an opening piano roof. The front piece slides up ‘n over the rear one.

Upgraded hifi will be rare. Agree, very tempting.

You can retro fit the deployable side steps. But you cannot retro fit the sliding pano roof or 3D hifi. So I would not reject for side steps.
