This is my first post and would appreciate some of your opinions. Has anybody had this before?
Ive had loads of landrovers over the years, even a classic range so know the usual quirks but this one is strange.

My rear brakes on my 3.6 tdv8 have been ok since i bought it September last year
Have had 2 occasions of grinding noise from offside rear but goes away. First time it was in a multi-storey car park about 2 months ago and the second time today.
The only coincidence was speed humps. Got home from a local trip and the smell and noises of a sticky caliper.
Been out since it cooled down and all seemed normal again. Plus front same temps for comparison.
Don’t want to drive too far or fast just in case.

Is this a EPB quirk? Red Epb light flashes and beeps occasionally after being parked for a while but again no real pattern.
Is this the usual “they all do that”?

Have bought new caliper, discs and pads but before i fit could it be epb issue?
Am i being paranoid or fit all the new bits and see what happens?
Have Iid tool and no errors. Not sure what it would show.

Sticking calipers, particularly on the rear, are a common issue on all L322's unfortunately so my money would be on it being the caliper rather than anything else. Current Fleet:-

as said callipers are a common problem, and a good place to start, wouldn't usually make the EPB flash though, if you are changing the discs at the back, then its worth checking the condition of the epb shoes in the centre of the disc while its off, older ones have been known to disintegrate. its not usual service item as they dont wear much, but worth looking at if you are in there,  There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜
