Do they perhaps have massive import duties / taxes on foreign / luxury cars like some countries.

Perhaps they are all parked outside the bang bang bar, or all gone (2) Phuket? Filters are in fact so good that in certain circumstances, when the ambient air is already polluted, a diesel car will tend to extract more particles from the air than it emits. Emissions Analytics worked with........etc etc

Saw a number of them in Malaysia last year but none in Thailand.

I lived on Phuket for two years, I bought a brand new Isuzu DMAX pick up, 4 cab, 4x4 and had a custom leather interior put in it, total cost was around £14k, this was the top of the range at that time. It was the ideal vehicle for the climate, no heater fitted, just cool aircon, why on earth would anyone need to spend nearly 10x as much on a Rangie in those conditions. 4.2SC; 1960 TR6; XF Sportbrake
