Interesting that the implication is that the MK3 & Mk4 are the same with Thule. In which case no cost and a place for the MiL too.

The plot thickens. UK Thule website does not list 2013 FFRR. American site lists 'normal roof' kit.

Not knowing the exact layout of the roof, I can't comment.

Surely they mean the glass roof is expensive to replace if you break it carrying something on the roof. Your choice Shirly I mean Surely (again) |

I know this is an older thread but like Nick I am not keen on fitting roof rails to my L405 for a couple of weeks each year.

Bringing this one back to life - there was a car parked at he ski lift yesterday that caught my eye - looks very much like the L322 foot pack to me....

Just a quickie to say that having fitted the ludicrously expensive rails - the Thule Evo Raised Rail Footpack 7104 and 135cm Thule Wingbar 962 Black - fit the panoramic roof perfectly. |

I’ve taken them off now - look neat, 135cm gives, what appears to be, the right amount of ‘overhang’. Won’t be going back on for a couple of months when I’ll post a pic. |

Fair enough, but could you give me a guestimate of that 'overhang' please?? Regards,

I went down this route when I first bought my 405. I spoke with Thule direct and they said that the angle of the roof above the tops of the side windows was so shallow that it wasn’t possible to mount a normal foot pack in such a way that it would grip sufficiently. Consequently, they would not develop one.
